Recognising the outstanding efforts of clubs and individuals that have had a significant positive impact on their community by contributing to and/or improving the social, cultural, financial or environmental wellbeing of the community.
Assisting Boys to Become Good Men
Albury SS&A Club provide both financial and in-kind support to the Boys to the Bush program, with $275,000 provided since 2018. The program offers 5 ‘MENtoring’ camps that focus on preventative and early intervention strategies for disengaged young males. It provides an opportunity for the boys to switch off from daily distractions and provide opportunities for the boys to succeed. The goal is to surround the boys with positive adult influences in a safe environment where they can learn how to become a good man. The Club also provides venue hire for training sessions and events. They also offer visits to the Club to show the boys the range of careers available in the hospitality industry.
